A group photo of six friends looked normal — until people noticed a creepy detail hiding in plain sight

Stories about paranormal incidents and beings have struck fear while triggering fascination among people at the same time, for centuries. With the internet opening a window for people to share more than just stories, people have been uploading videos and images, with claims that they spotted ghosts and aliens. The most recent addition to these was posted on Reddit and it triggered a frenzy on the internet. The picture is of six friends taking a selfie in what seems to be a forest, and according to a report in LAD Bible, it was taken in Chile.

At first glance, it doesn’t seem like something is wrong with the picture that shows a group of six friends enjoying a hiking trip. However, if viewers focus on the bottom left of the picture, between two women, they'll notice what looks like an eerie face. The face is devoid of any emotion or expression and its eyes aren’t visible. It just has a nose, lips, and the lower part of a person’s face.

While it could be a doctored image, most people in the comments section of the Reddit post did not seem to think so. “I looked without looking and I still think the image has been branded into my memory. Not excited for the bad dreams tonight,” one user called __hi__friends commented. “No joke, I feel like I teared up because that just scared the crap out of me,” admitted another user named BeginningCranberry92.

While many people take the paranormal seriously, others are skeptical. It might not be a doctored image but it might be nothing more than a simple optical illusion. Nevertheless, they have a history of freaking out human beings. However, one cannot deny that this particular apparition looks scary and one can only imagine what those hikers felt when they first saw the picture.

People don’t even need to visit a hiking trail in Chile for a chance to see ghosts. There are numerous reports of such activities a lot closer to home. An example of this is Bray Road in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. According to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the stretch has been haunting drivers for almost 100 years.

The story is that a creature with the head of a canine and the body of a man stalks that road looking for prey. Eyewitness accounts have stated that the creature kneels over a deer that it has killed, walks on its hind legs, and even reaches to the backs of trucks to retrieve roadkill deer. The first time this creature was reported was back in 1936. The man who saw it said that it was six feet tall.

Since then, there have been multiple sightings of the said creature, the most recent ones coming in 2018 and 2020. A horror film about the creature was also made titled ‘The Beast of Bray Road.’ Just like it can’t be proved that these inexplicable things exist, one can’t entirely disprove their existence either.
