Adele randomly called two girls on stage during concert — she was stunned to find out who they were

What Adele anticipated to be a mere fan interaction with two girls, left the singer reeling in the middle of her concert in Europe.

Adele, one of the greatest singing talents in the world right now, has a soft spot for familiar faces, better if they are little girls. If you don’t know how it feels to be recognized by someone as great as Adele, better ask the two girls whom the British pop icon randomly picked from the crowd during a concert only to realize something odd. Within moments, she turned the spotlight toward the little girls announcing that she knew them since they were babies. Speak of coincidence! A fan video posted by a YouTube user (@fabianvdw) attending the event captured the encounter that unraveled at the "Adele Live" concert in 2016.

Soon after a performance, the Skyfall singer hosted a brief interactive session with a massive crowd gathered in Amsterdam. She asked people where they were from, with attendees hailing from Holland and Amsterdam, pouring in cheers. Adele then particularly called out to fans from her nation. “And I always do ask this because I am from the UK. Anyone from the UK?” she asked. A loud cheer greeted her when her eyes suddenly met two young faces in the crowd. She invited two adorable girls on stage, one of which, the singer claimed, happened to memorize all the dance moves of her backend singers.

Welcoming them to the stage with warm hugs, the Hello singer curiously inquired about their names, ages, and where in the UK they were from. One of the girls answered that they were sisters and hailed from London, England. Further into the conversation, Adele spotted their father and was instantly taken aback. “Oh my god. No way!” the Oscar winner exclaimed. Struck in disbelief, Adele hugged the girls another time and overwhelmingly shared, “I knew when you were a baby!” A series of "Oh my Gods" followed while the crowd was amused at the singer-songwriter’s shocking encounter. “Her mum plays for me. She’s back there, she plays cello,” Adele announced.

Apparently, the Rolling In The Deep singer first met the young fans when they were only two weeks old, and years later, she picked them from a crowd of thousands, and in a different country altogether. Work of the universe, you may say. In an epic moment, the British musician was the one wanting to get a picture with the girls. “Oh my god! Let’s get a picture…That is so weird,” she said, still shell-shocked. Furthermore, Adele compared them to her 3-year-old son and realized the fact that he too would soon be as grown up as the girls on stage with her. “He’s gonna be as big as you. That’s amazing!” Adele said, thanking the girls and encouraging them to wave at their mother, also on stage, who was part of the singer’s orchestra.

Simultaneously, internet users resorted to the comments section to chime in with interesting insights. One fellow YouTube user (@sprite6104) said, “They weren’t meeting Adele, Adele was meeting them” while another fan (@AnthonyChew) related the singer to a “typical English housewife.” “That's Adele reacting like a typical English housewife for 3 minutes. I lost count how many times she almost forgot she's having a concert,” the comment stated. A third person (@Cayutie) wrote, “I've never seen Adele act so... Adele.” Most of the fans were impressed by the singer’s warm nature and also lauded her great sense of humor.
