LONDON, UK: Audrey Hepburn was an icon, who not only starred in remarkable movies but also made significant contributions to charity work while working as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF.
The ‘Love in the Afternoon’ actress, who was inducted into the International Best Dressed Hall of Fame, was reportedly a great mother too. But Hepburn lost her life due to appendicular cancer when she was 63.

Audrey Hepburn had 'great friendship' with son Sean
His elder son Sean Hepburn Ferrer told Tatler, “She would make breakfast and get me off to school, then come and pick me up too. There were paparazzi [all around], but we used to live with it somehow.”

He continued, “What my mother and I had was a great friendship. We spoke about everything. Some psychologists would say, ‘Children need to learn their place,’ but she trusted me like an adult.”
The 63-year-old producer added, “We talked about very emotional things—she would ask me questions one would ask an elderly. I didn’t know the answers, but I gave what I felt in my heart most of the time.”

Like Ferrer, his daughter, Emma Kathleen Ferrer, is also very close to Hepburn though she never met the legendary actress.
The ‘Roman Holiday’ star died in 1993 and Emma Kathleen Ferrer was born in 1994.

Despite no physical interaction, the 29-year-old former model reportedly feels very close to her grandmum.
She told Harper's Bazaar in 2021, “Growing up, there were these two things going on at the same time: There was the way that I got to know her, that everyone else got to know her—which was through her movies and the iconography of her and photos—and then there's this way that I've gotten to know her really uniquely which is through my father.”
“Understanding her more and more is still a work in progress today. I think now I've understood the level of fame, which even that took me a long time. But now, I'm working on understanding the different ways that she's influenced people's lives and how this myth that she encompasses speaks to different people,” she shared.
