'Best thing he's ever done': Brad Pitt ‘stepping away from spotlight’ after divorce from Angelina Jolie

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brad Pitt is reportedly 'living a whole new life' with a new approach following his bitter divorce battle with Angelina Jolie.

Reports said that the 59-year-old actor is now focusing on his relationship with his children and girlfriend Ines de Ramon.

Brad Pitt’s ‘putting his well-being and his family first’

An insider said, as per OK! Magazine, “He shut down production on his Formula 1 movie, 'Apex', because of the strike in late July,” while referring to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

“And since then, he’s basically disappeared from the public eye. He’s been chilling with his girlfriend, traveling, and focusing on other projects,” they noted.

The source went on to share, “Brad is telling friends that stepping away from the spotlight is the best thing he’s ever done.”

“It’s sometimes been painful, but Brad has grown so much. He’s turned a corner in what he wants and is living a whole new life. He’s finally putting his well-being and his family first,” the tipster noted.

Mentioning the ‘Fight Club’ star’s children, the source added, “He’s on good terms with them. He lost a lot of precious time with them during the custody battle, and he’s determined not to miss anymore.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie share six children

The former power couple are parents to six children.

They are 22-year-old Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt; 19-year-old Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt; Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, 18; Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, 17; and 15-year-old twins — Knox Léon Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt.

While Shiloh and the twins are the couple’s biological children, the other three are adopted.

In 2021, Jolie told PEOPLE about her children, “They are pretty great people, and because there's so many of them, I think they've had a very significant effect on each other.” 

“It's not like I'm the head of anything. I'm very honest with my kids. And I'm very human with my kids,” the actress added.
