A couple officially made it to the news for having had the country's shortest marriage. According to the Metro, the record time of marriage is just three minutes. The couple didn't even manage to get out of the courthouse as legally married husband and wife. Everything was in place initially. The bride looked radiant and the man smart. The papers were processed and the two had signed it. The guests cheered. It seemed perfect up until the minute the bride tripped over her dress as she was making her way to exit the hall and the groom, the man who vowed to take care of her all her life called her "stupid" in front of all the guests. He could have held her just in time and had a classic romantic movie moment. He could have asked her if she was okay and helped her back on her feet. He could have given her a smile and told her he loved her. But no. He decided to mock her and called her "stupid" in front of everyone who had gathered to witness the union.

The feisty bride was not just upset but had a moment of epiphany. Perhaps, she thought about how she could spend the rest of her life with someone so inconsiderate or she was just angry and impulsive. Whatever could have been the real reason, the infuriated bride took a U-turn and went right back to the judge and requested for her marriage to be annulled immediately. According to Q8 News, the judge agreed to her demand and granted a divorce.

Many felt that the groom's behavior at the wedding was perhaps the last straw in an already tense relationship. Many took to social media to congratulate the bride for her brave decision.

One Twitter user said, "If this is how he acts right at the beginning, it's better to leave him." Another one said, "A marriage with no respect, is a failed one right from the beginning." One user applauded the bride's decision. She said, “A strong woman… I would’ve done the same thing.” One person commented, "Yup, that's me right there."

A few took to Instagram to offer their support to the bride. One called her a "smart lady" while another said, "I commend her courage and strength." Surprisingly enough, this isn't even a rare occurrence. In 2004, 90 minutes was all a couple in the UK had before the marriage was annulled. And it had a violent ending with a dash of jail time, according to The Telegraph. It began when the groom was being a little "too nice" to the bridesmaids, which didn't go unnoticed by the new bride. It only got worse with his toast—when he made a not-so-innocent comment— which his friends described as "disgraceful."

The icing on the cake came when the bride was so angry, she smashed an ashtray over her hubby's head. Soon enough, things became wild enough that the cops had to be called to sort it out. The groom, instead of honeymooning in Greece, got a free night in a prison cell on his wedding night.
