Courteney Cox loves her 'modern barn' style Malibu home where she lives peacefully with her dogs

MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: Courteney Cox is arguably one of the most popular actresses in the history of television.

She became a household name after playing Monica Geller in ‘Friends’.

Courteney Cox wanted to become an architect

However, acting was not Cox’s first choice when she thought of her career initially.

As per reports, the actress, now 59, once began pursuing architecture but her gigs in modeling eventually led her to acting.

Despite her successful acting career, Cox never lost her love for home decor, and her house in Malibu is the best example of it.

She cherishes her peaceful life at her home, which looks “like a modern barn,” with her dogs as her daughter Coco Arquette is now reportedly busy with her college life.

The place comes with guest cottages, a tennis house and court, a saltwater swimming pool, and a screening room, Elle Decor reported.

Referring to her old house, which did not give her much privacy, Cox reportedly shared, “I decided with this house to go a completely different route. I wanted it to look like a modern barn.”

‘This is exactly how I want to live’

She further revealed that when she bought the house, it was “beautiful” but she does not “like things to be too dark, and I knew it needed a big revamp for my taste.”

Cox once told Architectural Digest, “The most important thing to me is just to have personality.”

Besides, referring to her architects Michael Kovac and Trip Haenisch, she added, “Michael and Trip gave me everything I wanted. This is exactly how I want to live.”

Courtney Cox loves gatherings

Meanwhile, apart from designing and loving her home, the ‘Scream’ actress also enjoys hosting regular get-togethers at her place.

She grew up with many cousins and enjoyed family gatherings at her grandmother’s place.

Cox said, “I’ve been carrying on that tradition of having a family-and-friends day for years.”
