Courteney Cox channels her inner Monica Geller from 'Friends' and cleans Hollywood Walk of Fame star
Courteney Cox is channeling her inner Monica Gellar and cleaning not just her Hollywood Walk of Fame star but those belonging to her famous friends too! The 58-year-old actress shared an Instagram reel where she was seen wiping down her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame similar to her Friends character, Monica Geller, who was always adamant about keeping things clean and in order.
The video is set to Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" where the actress was seen encouraging people to not step on the sidewalk tributes. "Literally right on the star, you can go around," she jokingly says in the video. She also wiped down stars belonging to her friends Laura Dern, Jennifer Aniston, and Reese Witherspoon. "Someone's gotta do it," she captioned the clip.
Many celebrities responded to the star's hilarious video. Witherspoon, 47, welcomed Cox's sweet gesture and commented, "Thanks for keeping us clean, Court!! 🤩" Comedian David Spade was less than pleased that the Cougar Town alum overlooked his star, which he received in 2003. The 58-year-old Grown Ups star wrote, "Do mine! Wtf!"
Courteney Cox fought back tears as she was joined by her former Friends co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston on February 27 as she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The three starred in the beloved NBC sitcom during its 10-season run from 1994 to 2004. Cox ended up becoming a huge name in Hollywood and could count on her longtime "friends" for their support. "They're such wonderful friends of mine and they're family to me, so it felt really comfortable… they're my sisters," she told PEOPLE.
During their joint speech, Aniston, 54, and Kudrow, 59, honored their longtime friend and former costar. The two joked over how similar Cox is to her neat-freak Friends character, Monica Geller. "Her attention to detail. OK. It's very intense," explained Aniston. "You really want to hope that you don't have any kind of like a stain or a spot on a wall or that a pillow is out of place or a hair or something that needs to be plucked." Aniston then joked, "I'm just saying, thank God this star is straight."
Last year Cox spoke to InStyle as part of a cover story, which came out on April 14, where she admitted she does have a Geller side to her. “I like things to look right,” she told the magazine. “I do fluff the pillows.” While she does think extreme tidiness is important to her she wants to remind fans that that's the only thing she shares with her character. According to Bustle she even has her own brand of luxury cleaning products called Homecourt, which includes dish soap, surface cleaner, and other similar items.
