Reut Karp shares shock on Facebook
Reut shared the last few texts she exchanged with Dvir before his life was claimed.
“There's a big mess here. There is a heavy shooting in the kibbutz,” the 46-year-old now-deceased man reportedly told Reut.
The mother then responded, “Shooting? Inside the kibbutz?”
Her husband answered, “Yes. That's how it sounds.”
However, soon after that, Reut received a harrowing message from her daughter, which read, “Mom, it's Daria... Dad has been murdered. Stav too. Help.”
Along with the messages, the woman mentioned on the social media platform, “My last messages with my husband, the father of my children, Dvir Karp.”
She added, “Dvir Karp RIP 1977 - 2023 Rest in peace.”
Terrorists spared Dvir Karp's children
Reut wrote another post on Facebook in which she disclosed, “At 8:20 a.m. terrorists entered Dvir's home, he lunged at them with an axe, tried to protect my two kids who were with him, and was murdered in front of their eyes.”
She continued, “His partner Stav also tried to protect them but was murdered as well. The terrorist calmed down Daria and Lavi, covered them in a blanket, took lipstick, and wrote on the wall: 'The al-Qassam [Brigades] people don't murder children’.”
“For three hours, I was on the phone with Daria, calming her down, hearing her breathe heavily and in fear. She was hearing someone still inside the house and I instructed her to be silent,” the mother noted.
Eventually, Reut’s children were saved by an armed civilian, she added.
