The greatest gift a parent can ever receive in their lifetime is their children sharing the load of responsibilities that they carry. Malcolm Jenkins did exactly that when he decided to pay off his mother's mortgage with his savings. Jenkins was in town to visit his family when he chose to surprise his mother with his sister Natasha, reports Goalcast. He had intended to go to the bank and write a cheque to his mother but they both added an element of surprise. They decided to pay off the mortgage via phone in front of their mother at home. Natasha decided to make the phone call on behalf of Jenkins.

Claudia was first told on August 4, with the family gathering, that Jenkins, 39 wanted to make a modest, one-time payment as a present to her. She had absolutely no idea about the plans of her children, per Happily News. Natasha then went over payment data with the representative on loudspeaker before the person on the other end of the call questioned if she was going to utilize such information for the following month's payment. Natasha then replied by saying, "I actually want to use it to pay off the account.” Claudia couldn't believe her ears when she heard that and a wide smile overtook her whole face. She jumped in excitement and hugged her son who lost the ability to hear when he was 3 years old.

Claudia's other daughter who is named after her captured this special moment on tape and posted it on social media. Natasha expressed how proud she is of her brother, "My brother lost his hearing at three years old, but that never stopped him from living and excelling in life. He saved his money from working to do something like this for our mother. He is a great example of a son, father, big brother, uncle, and man."

She continued that this is a result of their incredible upbringing, "My mom made sure as we all grew up that there was nothing we could not accomplish despite any odds that may have been stacked up against us." She says that her brother can achieve anything he works for and this moment was a small contribution towards respecting their mother's sacrifices. She said, "The moment her mortgage was paid off was priceless! We can never repay her for all of the sacrifices she has made for us over the years – there is no monetary amount large enough to do that." Natasha says that their mother is still a huge support to all of us in anything they want to achieve. She is always present in their lives even throughout adulthood. She concludes by saying, "We love her wholeheartedly and this was just a small way to show her that.”
