LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nearly twenty years after becoming well-known on the children's channel, Disney star Kirsten Storms appeared unrecognizable in a recent selfie.

Kirsten played Zenon Kar in the science fiction Disney Channel film trilogy 'Zenon: Z3' (2004), 'Girl of the 21st Century' (1999), and 'Zenon: The Zequel' (2001).

In the first film, Zenon gets into some trouble with Chief Windom and is eventually forced to leave the space station where she lives.

She is subsequently assisted by some earthlings to locate proof that Windom is evil. Her discovery of signals she interprets as coming from extraterrestrial sources is revealed in the 2001 sequel, as reported by Mirror.

Following the success of the trilogy, Zenon, now 39, became a huge hit among teenagers and went on to star in a number of TV shows and films. From 1999 to 2004, Kirsten portrayed Belle Black on 'Days of our Lives' for five years.

She has been a star on 'General Hospital' since 2005, where she plays Maxie Jones. In addition to her career in acting, Kirsten is the mother of nine-year-old Harper Rose, whom she shares with her ex-husband, former co-star Brandon Barash of 'General Hospital'.

Kirsten underwent brain surgery

In 2021, she took to Instagram with a health update and told her followers that she underwent brain surgery after her doctor found "a very large cyst that had split into two" after she sought treatment for severe neck pain.

She wrote, "First, thank you for all of the well wishes I’ve received over the last few days."

She added, "I’m not gonna lie, brain surgery had me nervous, but I’m immensely thankful to my family, friends, and incredible "work family" who have been supportive, kind and loving during a time when I’ve been feeling a lot of emotions."
