Dog walker fatally attacked by her own giant pit bull which she had rescued a few weeks ago
Natasha Johnston, 28, suffered catastrophic injuries from 'multiple penetrating bites' from her own dog

SURREY, SOUTH EAST ENGLAND: It has been revealed that a dog walker, who was reportedly mauled to death while walking a pack of eight pets, was killed by her own pit bull.
Natasha Johnston, 28, suffered catastrophic injuries from "multiple penetrating bites" during the January attack near Caterham, Surrey.
The dog responsible was previously identified as an American Bully XL, and the animal was euthanized following an investigation, as reported by Mirror.
Stan was a pit bull, a breed banned in the UK
However, veterinary surgeon Dr Alison Robson, an expert court witness who investigated Natasha's death, revealed that Stan was a pit bull, one of four breeds prohibited in the UK under the Dangerous Dogs Act of 1991.
Natasha reportedly rescued Stan from owners who planned to put him down after he bit one of their children last November. According to a friend, he also bit Natasha twice in the days leading up to the tragic attack.
According to her friend Delia Lewis, whose own dog was one of the group that day, "She felt Stan hadn't been trained and with the correct care and affection he'd be fine."
Her boyfriend said it wasn't a good idea and, having seen how troublesome Stan could be. "My response was, 'Are you sure?' But she loved dogs with a passion and she was still grieving for her black staffy, Missy, who had recently died, so she didn't take our advice," he said.
According to the newspaper, Natasha sent a picture of herself with Stan four days after rescuing him. The image shows her cuddled up to the creature while wearing a fluffy onesie, as he snoozes in her arms. She sent it alongside the message: "Back to the sofa! I was ordered back to bed for a while!"
Veterinary says victims was 'foolish' to walk him with other dogs
Given his violent past, Dr. Robson thinks it was "foolish" to walk him with other dogs, especially while off the lead and without a muzzle.
The dogwalker suffered multiple bites to her neck, one of which punctured her jugular vein. She died as a result of the vicious and deep bites, as reported by DailyMail.
American Bully XLs were thought to be the breed of dog that was destroyed, Surrey Police confirmed in May. It is said that two of the other dogs being walked on that day are still being held in custody.
