‘Don’t be nasty’: Kathy Griffin slammed for mimicking Britney Spears' dance with knives
'That girl has been through enough and it’s okay for her not to be okay,' an ardent Britney Spears fan said on social media

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kathy Griffin has been called out online after she seemed to be taking a dig at Britney Spears.
The comedian took to her social media pages to share a video in which she wore a pink bikini with black boots.

Griffin was also seen dancing with a knife and a spatula as she captioned the post, “You heard me, we’ve got knives, we’ve got spatulas…and we’ve got a Vegas show @themiragelv on October 6th!”
Though the 62-year-old was reportedly doing a promotion for her new show, many took offense to her mimicry of the ‘Princess of Pop’.

An Instagram user wrote, “Get a life and a tan, and no, you're not funny.”
“It’s not funny… Britney is a victim, let’s give her a breath of Mockeries… we love her ❤️,” another commented.

A third said, “Kathy I love you so much, and will always come to see you live but saying Britney is too free is such a punch down. That girl has been through enough and it’s okay for her not to be okay after being betrayed by her own family and forced to work against her will for 13 years but not able to buy her own pair of sketches."
“Putting out that she’s too free even as a joke makes people think that and I believe she is the way she is today BECAUSE of the conservatorship. Lighten up on our girl. Love you,” they added.
“I hope you give Brit a cut of your sales. You’ve been using her in your act for more than 20 years,” someone else remarked.

A user added, “How can people make fun of someone with an obvious mental illness? So sad.”
“Don’t be nasty to Britney when she was nice to you in Vegas don’t forget that you should’ve been locked up in a mental ward when you depicted an abhorrent photo of Donald Trump,” another fumed.
