Expert says Hugh Jackman ‘still loves’ Deborra-Lee Furness but moved on from her before announcing split

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness’ separation news has left their fans heartbroken.
The two had been married for almost three decades and shared two children – Oscar Maximilian Jackman and Ava Eliot Jackman — together.
But last week they shared in a statement, as per PEOPLE, “Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

Though many of their fans are still in shock, a body language expert has claimed that the separation was already on the cards when the pair appeared for the Met Gala 2023 together.
What did the expert say about Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness?
Louise Mahler referring to Jackman and Furness’ Met Gala 2023 clip told 7Life, “These are two people so well rehearsed at being with each other."

“They lean in together, they move in unison.”
The expert also went on to point out that there came a moment in the video where “Hugh goes to walk away and she briefly pulls him back and he stops with no hesitation”.
“There is no giveaway whatsoever... and remember, they are both actors. They are working as a team and showing total harmony,” she mentioned.

Mahler then shared, "He still loves her but he’s moving on. And what I see from her is, ‘I get that you’re moving on, you b******, but I will allow this,'” the expert added.
Mahler also cited the ‘Logan’ star’s footage with Furness during the Wimbledon in July 2023.
“I don’t see that they’re pulling away from each other in any way. In fact, their arms are touching the full length,” she shared.
Mahler asserted, “This is a couple who have been together for 30 years; they know each other. I would say they still love each other, but they’re deciding to go their separate ways.”
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness say family ‘will be our highest priority’
Jackman and the Australian actress issued a joint statement to announce the new development in their lives.

The former couple said, “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.”
“We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives,” they wrote, before adding, “This is the sole statement either of us will make.”
