Grandma in her '90s has a more exciting dating life than most of us — and we ain't complaining

Dating is something most people associate with young people or middle-aged counterparts starting a new phase in life, but no one can imagine a 90-year-old with a happening dating life. Back in 2023, TikToker Grandma Droniak (@grandma_droniak) shared a video explaining her dating history that year in response to a follower. Her husband had passed away but that did not stop her from seeking love and happiness again. The video has since received millions of views and thousands of comments.

It turns out that she went on five first dates that year and kissed each of the guys! She met one at a funeral, one at a bar, one on Instagram, and two at Bingo. One of the men became her boyfriend, one was dishonest, and she ghosted two, while one of her dates passed away. She even joked that he was the one who ghosted her and wished he “slayed in peace.”

The video has garnered 72 million views as per FOX but at the time, she was not looking for a committed relationship. "I don't have a boyfriend and I don't want it. And if I wanted it I could have four or five of them… I don't want to associate with nobody,” she had said. However, things changed as one of the five became her boyfriend. "He is so cute. I like him, but he likes me more. And he is the best kisser since my husband passed away,” she said on their first anniversary.

Several people commented on the viral TikTok video, asking the 93-year-old for tricks to get a date. “Your dating recap is better than mine. Teach me your ways! PS Does Dan have a much younger son?” one user called Josephine commented. “This gives me hope for my future,” another user called Laura Mustard wrote.

Despite all the sweet gestures, it turns out that Grandma Droniak was single at the start of 2025. She broke up with the man she had spoken about earlier and did not hold back when talking about the reasons. She revealed that he had several problems that she was not happy about including his picky eating habits, the lack of a headboard on his bed, his poor driving skills that almost got her killed, and his lack of knowledge about Taylor Swift among other things according to Leeds Live.

But what she could not tolerate at all was him asking her to “shut up” on one occasion. "No one tells me to shut up. That's me! Don't let a man ever tell you to shut up because that is not nice. He is a Leo – I should have known. He is a bad driver and I almost got killed so I am not going to sit in the car with him anymore,” she explained.

Like every year, she made a video at the end of 2024 as a recap of her dating experience again. This time, she went on four first dates since the breakup and met one of them through Tinder! Turns out that she still is seeing one of them.
