Technology has made life easier and as time passes, we become more and more trusting of it. This man did the same thing, he placed a little too much faith in Google Maps and nearly ended up marrying the wrong woman, reported the Daily Star.

The bizarre mixup happened in a small town in Java, Indonesia on Easter. According to local media, the groom and his wedding party were aiming for Losari Hamlet of Pakis District in central Java but due to an unfortunate mixup, ended up in nearby Jengkol Hamlet. Coincidently there was a wedding taking place there too. Local woman Maria Ulfa was due to get married to Burhan Sidqi from Ringinum Village, Kendal Regency, Central Java but Burhan and his wedding party was running late because they had stopped during the journey to look for a toilet. In the meantime, the new groom showed up, the bride told reporters. Apparently, seeing all the wedding decorations, the lost groom and his wedding party that had completely relied on Google Maps to get there thought that this was the wedding they were looking for, reported the Daily Star.

Maria was apparently getting her makeup done at the time, so didn’t immediately realize that the man being welcomed and greeted by her wedding guests was the wrong groom entirely. "I was shocked when I saw the man’s group as I did not know any of them," she recalled in an interview with the Malay Mail. She then added that while her fiancé was from Kendal, the wedding party that had arrived at her home was all from Pemalang. It was that fact that made her realize something wasn’t quite right. By this time the wrong groom had been given a number of gifts from guests. The mixup was soon revealed and Maria's family helped the wedding party find their way to their actual wedding, reported the Daily Star.

The Video clip of the bizarre moment has now gone viral on social media, leaving many users amazed at how the man had managed to remain ignorant about it for so long. A user asked, "She was getting her makeup done, I get it. Her family was probably busy getting things done but for him though, did it not strike him that almost everyone around him was probably strangers? How can you possibly sit calm knowing that you can't see one thing familiar at your own wedding?" while another wrote, "Wonder how anxious his own bride and her family must have been. Pretty sure they assumed he had backed out." A third joked, "So did the actual groom show up, or are they lost as well."
