'He is disgusted': Joe Jonas worries Taylor Swift's interference will make Sophie Turner split 'messier'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Joe Jonas is reportedly enraged by Taylor Swift's "meddling" in his divorce from ex-wife Sophie Turner.

According to a source close to Joe, the Jonas Brothers believe her involvement in the divorce is making the split "messier" than needed.

Joe Jonas filed for divorce due to 'irreconcilable differences'

Joe filed for divorce from Sophie in September, after four years of marriage and two children together, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their breakup. Since then, his ex-girlfriend Taylor and Sophie have formed a new friendship, as reported by Mirror.

Taylor and Joe dated for three months back in 2016, but their relationship ended when Joe dumped her after just 27 seconds of talking to her on the phone.

Later, in her well-known hit songs 'Forever and Always' and 'Better Than Revenge', Taylor expressed her feelings toward the musician. Since then, Sophie and Taylor have been seen out on numerous dinner dates and at a recent NFL game together.

Joe Jonas 'disgusted' by Taylor Swift's interference

Joe reportedly dislikes the idea of their friendship, according to a source who spoke to Heat Magazine, as quoted by Mirror, "Joe is disgusted by the way Taylor is trying to turn this into some mean-girl high school game."

The source added, "This is so much bigger than a breakup - this is about the wellbeing and future of his and Sophie's kids. Joe will go to the ends of the Earth to keep his daughters close, and if that means going to battle with Taylor, then so be it. Taylor may think she's coming out of this looking cute, but he thinks she's being incredibly immature."

Taylor rented out her penthouse apartment to Sophie

The Grammy-winning singer reportedly extended Sophie an invitation to stay with her since the two have been spending more time together. According to rumors, Taylor rented Sophie her penthouse apartment in Tribeca while Sophie and Joe resolved their legal issues.

'Taylor made a point of adopting Sophie'

Joe was reportedly moved by Sophie's request to stay in her house. The source disclosed to the media outlet: "Right off the bat, Taylor steamed in and made a point of adopting Sophie - being her shoulder to cry on. Now Taylor's offering Sophie her apartment in New York, and that was the straw that broke the camel's back for Joe."

Despite Joe's split from Taylor, the two appeared to put their differences aside and grow closer over time. Even after making disparaging remarks about Joe in an 'Ellen DeGeneres' interview, Taylor later expressed regret to Joe, and the two are now said to be getting along well.

Additionally, discussing this dynamic, the source told the news organization that there was irony because Joe and Taylor appeared to have a good relationship.

Although her friendship with his estranged wife doesn't appear to be the issue, the insider claims that he is wary that Taylor's interference may make the split even messier than it needs to be.
