The three had become fast friends when 'Posh' and Beckham relocated to Los Angeles in 2007 for the footballer to play for the LA Galaxy. David and Victoria were frequently photographed on nights out with Tom and his then-wife Katie Holmes.

He practically gave them the keys to the city. He threw them a party to meet everyone important, and the moment they were established they chucked him!"
