‘I'm glad it became a positive message’: Pamela Anderson shares actual reason behind going makeup-free

VANCOUVER ISLAND, BC: Pamela Anderson reportedly made news when she made an appearance at Paris Fashion Week without donning any makeup.
The 56-year-old actress said she had no idea that going natural would make her such a hot topic of discussion.
She told PEOPLE, “I'm makeup-free at home, so why not for Paris Fashion Week? I really didn't know anyone would notice it, but I'm glad it became a positive message.”

‘I call if Life-ing, not aging’
Disclosing her thoughts behind being going makeup-free, Anderson shared, “I don't have to be cool anymore.”
She stated, “I can just be me. It's very freeing to be comfortable in your own skin.”

Commenting on getting older, the ‘Baywatch’ star added, “I call it Life-ing, not aging. Chasing youth is futile. All we can do is embrace who we are at the moment we are in, and be okay with where our feet stand right now.”
However, Anderson has not completely ditched cosmetic products yet.
She said, “I'm not opposed to it, I just don't want to play the game. And it felt good to look in the mirror and say, 'I'm OK just like this.’”

‘As a mother, I took the role seriously’
Further in the interview, the mother-of-two discussed her priorities as she mentioned, “I think I’ve had the same priorities over my lifetime, which is to be kind, and most importantly to be a good mom.”
The ‘Raw Justice’ actress continued, “I knew I would not have kids unless I could look after them financially and emotionally, and that there would be in a safe place with or without a man in my life.”

“As a mother, I took the role seriously and I’m glad I thought that through,” she continued.
‘I’m not the damsel in distress’
This comes after in an interview with Variety, Anderson said, “My life has been much more meaningful than a fluffy hat or a sex tape. There’s more to me than that.”

The model also asserted, “I’m not a victim, and I’m not the damsel in distress. I’ve made my choices in my life. Some obviously were made for me, but I’ve always been able to find myself again. And it’s created a strong person and a strong parent.”
