Inbal Lieberman: Woman called ‘hero’ after killing 5 militants while saving Nir Am from Hamas attack
Inbal Lieberman, 25, along with the help of others, reportedly fought with the Palestinian militant group for over four hours

ISRAEL: A woman from Israel has been showered with praise after she saved the community of Nir Am from getting attacked by Hamas.
Inbal Lieberman, with the help of others, not only fought off the Palestinian militant group but also killed some of them, the Daily Mail reported.
How did Inbal Lieberman save a Kibbutz?
It has been said that Lieberman, who works as Kibbutz Nir Am's security coordinator, claimed the lives of five members of Hamas.
Her 12-member security team killed 20 others during the fight that lasted more than four hours.
The woman said that she immediately got active after hearing the sounds of explosions early Saturday, October 7.
She shared that she was sure that the sounds were not the regular ones that come from rocket attacks on the kibbutz.
A local named Ilit Paz reportedly said, “It was amazing, my husband was part of the standby unit that worked to prevent more casualties.”
“They heard the shots and made contact on their own with other members of the standby unit and with Inbal — and they understood that they were told to be on standby,” they mentioned.
Paz added, “But Inbal made a decision not to wait and be jumped operationally. In fact, the fact that they did it early prevented dozens of casualties.”
The Daily Mail reported that The Maariv Daily, citing an online post, stated Lieberman “will receive the Israel Prize.”
“The story of her heroism is a story that will go down in Israeli lore for generations. Inbal is the reason there is one kibbutz in the entire surrounding area that remains unharmed — Nir Am,” it added.
Parents deemed as ‘heroes’
This comes as an Israeli pair were called “heroes” for saving their twin babies' lives from Hamas while losing theirs.
“Itay and Hadar Berdichevsky, 30 years old. They hid their 10-month-old twin children in the shelter while terrorists infiltrated their home,” a tweet from an official Israeli government account read.

It noted, “Itay and Hadar were brutally murdered after bravely fighting the terrorists. The babies were left alone for more than 12 hours until they were rescued.”
The post concluded, “Imagine the horror. Two terrified parents doing everything they can to save their children, who are now orphaned. Blessed be the memory of these heroes.”
