'God made us that way': Jada Pinkett Smith says Tupac was her 'soulmate' despite marriage to Will Smith

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jada Pinkett Smith has spoken about her relationship with the late rapper Tupac Shakur.
Mentioning him as her “soulmate,” the wife of Will Smith said, as per Page Six, “A soulmate, yeah.”
The actress was speaking with RollingOut, where she also shared, “If there is such a thing as past lives, I definitely think Pac and I have traveled a few together. You know, in various forms.”

However, Jada pointed out why they did not become a pair. She added, “It just wasn't possible. There was no chemistry between us. I talk about it in the book, you know. … It’s that friendship-love chemistry, trust me," while referring to her upcoming new book -- 'Worthy'.

The 52-year-old talk show host continued, “It was like God made us that way. It was like, look, I'm going to put y'all together, right? Y'all are going to be a dynamic duo.”

“But I'm going to tell you right now, I'm going to make it so y'all are not going to be able to get together, 'cause that just wasn't the purpose,” she stated.
Jada Pinkett Smith says Tupac Shakur was ‘like a magnet’
This comes after earlier in an interview, Jada had reportedly disclosed about her first meeting with the ‘All Eyez on Me’ singer, who was killed in 1996.
She said, “It was the first day and he came over to me and introduced himself. And in high school, Pac was a little funny-looking. Definitely from looking at him, wasn’t necessarily the type of cat that I would even like to deal with.”

She further noted, “But as soon as he approached me, he was like a magnet. Once you paid attention to him he kind of sucked you in. And we hit it off from that moment on …”
“I don’t think either one of us thought we would have made it in the way that we did, but we knew we were gonna do something,” the mother-of-two added.
