LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nearly two weeks after Matthew Perry's death, Jennifer Aniston reportedly "cried herself to sleep" over his death and knew he "carried a flame" for her.
On October 28, the 54-year-old Chandler Bing actor was discovered dead in his Los Angeles residence.

The adored American-Canadian actor, best known for starring in 'Friends', reportedly drowned in his hot tub on October 28. It is still unclear why he died, as reported by Mirror.
Perry was laid to rest last Friday, on November 3. His grieving co-stars, including Jennifer Aniston, who "felt the loss more than most," attended the funeral service, which was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.

Speaking to New Magazine, a source disclosed that Jennifer Aniston aka Rachel Green from 'Friends', is still grieving intensely. Per sources, she "cried herself to sleep" upon learning of Matthew's death.

The source went on to reveal: "Jen knows Matt always carried a flame for her. That's why she kept in touch with him for so many years. Matt was besotted with Jen for years and I think that, at the back of his mind, he hoped one day his feelings would be reciprocated."

They clarified that Jen only ever thought of him as a friend, but they also said that she "cared deeply" for him and would frequently check in with him to make sure he was doing well and maintaining his sobriety.

In the past, Matthew even thanked Jen for her proactive support during his difficult times. Aniston is credited as the one who first confronted him about his drinking among his 'Friends' co-stars when his struggle with addiction became apparent to her.
"Everyone wishes they could turn back the clock and give him a call or arrange a meet up for coffee," the source continued to disclose to the outlet, adding even then that the 'Friends' cast was in talks to hold an annual get-together to honor their late co-star.
In addition to discussing Jen's heartbreak, the source mentioned their "strong bond" and how Jen considered Matthew to be one of her "favourites" among the cast.
"She loved the sparkle in his eye and his unique way of seeing the world," they said, explaining why Jennifer is struggling to cope with Matthew's death.
