Jennifer Garner organized food drive on her birthday instead of partying — and gave back to those in need
Jennifer Garner is a businesswoman, a co-founder of Once Upon a Farm organic cold-pressed baby food, and an an artist ambassador to Save the Children. She's also an actress who became a household name, starring in movies including 13 Going on 30, Love Simon, Dallas Buyers Club, and Pearl Harbor. Oh, and let's not forget that she's also a loving mom to her three kids.

The mother-of-three honored her kids recently as she turned 50 years old. She shared a special message on Instagram Story, along with a video of two sea otters hugging, as per Yahoo! Life, writing "On the eve of a new decade, there is no doubt that the center of my gratitude stems from the health, humor, challenge, wisdom, silliness, patience, cozy-ness, strength, intelligence, kindness, frustration and adorable-ness of my kids. I can't believe I get to know them and hold their hands through life, and I am prayerfully grateful for each of them in mine."

According to TMZ, the actress also spent her big day giving back by organizing a food drive at her house instead of throwing a party for herself. Garner turned her house into a drop-off spot for food and had other celebrities over, including Parks and Recreation actor Adam Scott. Also spotted were her boyfriend John Miller as well as her 16-year-old daughter, Violet, who helped her out.

A few days before her big day, Garner received a special surprise from her childhood crush. In a video clip Garner shared on Friday, the Love, Simon actress can be seen sitting in a restaurant and appearing to be in shock and awe as she watches a video of legendary singer Donny Osmond singing to her for her special day. And that's not all! The 64-year-old singer suddenly pops up behind the Yes Day star and continues singing, "Jennifer! It's your birthday!" Garner then jumps up and gives him a hug as he gifts her with a cake that reads "13 going on 50," referring to her popular film, 13 Going on 30. Later, the two sing some of his past hits, including his 1975 cover of Make the World Go Away. Garner covers her face with a napkin, still in shock over the exciting moment. Absolutely adorable!
