Katy Perry called ‘heartless’ for claiming dying vet was competent when he sold $15M mansion to her
Carl Westcott, who has Huntington's, claims he was on opiates following back surgery when he agreed to sell the property to Katy Perry

SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA: Katy Perry has reportedly been called out by a veteran’s spokesperson after she claimed the 84-year-old man was mentally competent when he sold his Santa Barbara property to her in 2020.
Carl Westcott had earlier asserted that he was on opiates and medicines following back surgery when he agreed to sell his eight-bedroom mansion worth $15 million to Perry in July 2020.
He later stepped back from selling the property, angering the A-list pair.
But now, Perry and her fiance Orlando Bloom’s lawyers have accused Westcott of hiding the sale of a property in Dallas for $3.5 million months after signing the papers of the $15 million mansion to the pair, RadarOnline.com reported.

The famous couple in their legal filing against the bedridden man has reportedly stated that the Dallas deal proves that Westcott’s health was fine at the time.
They also alleged that the old man’s claim that he “lacked the capacity to engage in real estate negotiations” was wrong.

What disease does Carl Westcott have?
As per reports, Westcott has been suffering from Huntington's disease. Doctors have also found early symptoms of Alzheimer's/dementia in him.
Carl Westcott's spokesperson slammed Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom
The Westcott family spokesperson blasted the legal action against their client and stated that Perry's attorneys "know well that Mr Westcott's Secretary held his power of attorney regarding the sale of the Dallas house.”
“Their continued efforts to disregard Mr Westcott’s mental illness, going so far as to accuse his family of ‘faking his Huntington’s Disease diagnosis’ shows their heartless nature," the spokesperson noted.
They continued, “Particularly in light of Katy Perry’s hypocritical self-proclaimed concern about mental illness. All while a world-renowned expert on Huntington’s Disease affirmed Mr Westcott’s diagnosis back in 2015, 5 years prior to the dates in question.”

“Katy Perry and her attorney’s continued disregard for Mr Westcott’s brain disease and mental illness demonstrate how low they will stoop to get her what she wants at any cost,” the spokesperson added.
