Keanu Reeves donated a lot of money made from movies as he's embarrassed about having too much

Keanu Reaves is said to be worth about $380 million per Celebrity Net Worth, but it's something he's embarrassed about, according to a close friend of his, who told Page Six.

Reeves has gone through enough and more pain during his 57 years, and he's known to be one of the most generous guys in the industry, given how he's always donated hefty amounts to people and causes, and now it seems like that is his mission.

“Keanu’s given away a lot of money and done a lot more for people than most will ever know,” said the family friend.

“Keanu’s infamous for his generosity,” a Hollywood producer told Page Six and shared the story about the time the actor slipped a $20,000 bonus to a Matrix set builder after he learned the crew member was having financial troubles.

Not just that, Reeves also gifted each of the 12 stuntmen on The Matrix Reloaded with a Harley-Davidson bike, which is one of his own favorites. Also, on John Wick 4, Reeves gave Rolex Submariner watches to the stunt guys. It even came with personal inscriptions on the back!

“Trust me, stunt guys are all dying to work with Keanu,” added another Hollywood production source. “Not just for the gifts. It’s because he takes them so seriously and credits them with helping contribute to his success. Stuntmen, fight trainers—these people rarely get that.”

“The reason Keanu’s starred in 60 movies,” said one casting director who’s worked with him, “is that, on top of audiences, directors love him, co-stars love him, crews love him. He’s always prepared, he’s always on time. Considerate, communicative, caring—there’s no one whose name he doesn’t know or hasn’t had a conversation with.”

However, insiders who really know Reeves say his need to give away so much comes from his personal life that was marred by tragedies. Reeves has lost way too many people who were close to him, including his best pal, his wife, and his first and only child.

Though it took him years to get out of some of the darkest days in his life, Reeves has finally settled down and is now in a steady relationship with artist Alexandra Grant. And, as we always say, there truly is no one better than Reeves out there!
