Lauren Conrad has 'stepped back from Hollywood' as 'The Hills' star wants to spend time with her children

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Following her departure from 'The Hills' in 2009, Lauren Conrad has remained silent, and she seems to enjoy it that way. A source recently revealed that the actress has "definitely stepped back from Hollywood".

The source told OK Magazine, “She’s very choosy about which events she supports. She’d rather be at home with her family, but she does go out occasionally, mostly when it’s necessary for her job.”

Lauren Conrad is working on her business

The 37-year-old blonde beauty is currently concentrating on her fragrance called Loved, a children's clothing line, a wholesale home goods marketplace, and her Kohl's collection for women.

Regretfully, it doesn't appear that her return to reality TV is imminent. The MTV veteran, who has children Liam and Charlie with her husband William Tell, is more concerned about spending time with her children.

The source said, “A normal day for her starts with checking her work schedule before Liam and Charlie wake up, getting them ready for the day, figuring out dinner for William and the kids, and making sure she sneaks in a little ‘me time,’ which could just be a 15-minute stretch."

The source added, "Her career is important, of course, but family is really everything for her. Making sure her boys are healthy and learning between what’s right and wrong is her Number 1 priority."

William Tell 'is an ideal partner' for Lauren Conrad

Conrad's spouse, a former pop-rock band member from Something Corporate, is also a huge assistance around the house. The insider said, "William is an ideal partner — he does more than his part and, more importantly, he knows when to step in."

“He’s a great dad. Lauren’s life seems pretty perfect right now. Going out is rare for her,” the source said about Conrad's new life, adding, “She’d rather stay out of the spotlight.”

Lauren Conrad no longer wants to appear on television

The mother of two made it apparent in 2022 that she no longer wanted to appear on television. She said, “I shared a lot. I feel like it’s just a privilege to have my privacy [now]. I appreciate it.”

Conrad's toddlers haven't seen her career unfold on television yet because they are still young. She said, “We’ll cross that bridge when we get there." She added, “I don’t know [but] I do think about that. I’m like, ‘Oh, like when does that come up?’ I feel like [they’re] too young. It’s confusing. We’ll see way down the line.”
