One doesn't need expensive instruments if they have talent. Such was the case with a young child from a small African village, who won over the internet when a video of him playing drums built out of sticks, scraps, and old vessels, went viral. In the clip, the child could be seen blissfully tapping his wooden sticks to make a rhythm as beautiful as if it were played by a professional.

The boy plays passionately on the utensils while seated on a vessel himself. His audience off-camera can be heard clapping and cheering. Netizens also showered him with admiration and encouragement. People also came forward to assist the talented child, offering to buy him a proper drum kit so he could work on his skills. On Instagram, a person commented, “These people always find happiness in everything...how to spend life. Learn from these people, they never have any complaints about life.”

Another penned, “Where is he located? We might just surprise him with an actual drum set. If this is not passion, we don’t know what is.” Chiming in, one said, “Would be amazing to make a recording with him playing with that DIY drumset.” Meanwhile, a person shared, “I once heard the story of a boy named Andrew Garrido whose family was unable to afford a piano, so he made his own out of a sheet of paper and imagined the sound of each note on the keyboard. Now, he is a famous pianist, having graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and plays at various venues around Europe. My message to this kid is...Go, little rockstar!”

The netizen who uploaded the video shared more about the boy’s background in the comments section. He revealed that the kid hails from a rural region in Cameroon, located in Central West Africa. He said, "I shot this video years ago. I lived there for three years. I remembered it was on a trip with my friend to a rural area of Cameroon." Although the video went viral, amassing millions of views, the identity of the young drummer remains a mystery. Whoever he is, one thing is for sure, pure passion and love for something can overcome any obstacle.

Such was the case also with another young drummer who showed up on 'America's Got Talent' once. Judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum were instantly won over by the little boy, Chrisyius Whitehead. With just a pair of drumsticks, Whitehead flawlessly drummed to Stevie Wonder's 'Faith' featuring Ariana Grande, never missing a beat. Behind the silver drum set, the tiny drummer could hardly be seen, but the audience was in awe of his incredible talent, as reported by NBC News.
