'Looks like a platypus': Trolls take nasty digs at Jennifer Garner as she goes jogging sans makeup

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Garner, 51, is no doubt one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, rising to prominence after landing the lead role in 'Alias' in 2001.

Garner, born in Houston, Texas, is a retired English teacher and a former chemical engineer, who relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her career.

Her works include '13 Going on 30,' 'Dude, Where's My Car,' 'Daredevil,' 'Elektra,' and 'Pearl Harbor.' Her most recent work includes the new mystery series 'The Last Thing He Told Me,' in which she stars as the main character.

Jennifer Garner was spotted jogging sans makeup

The mother of three and ex-wife of Ben Affleck, was recently seen jogging in her Brentwood neighborhood. Garner hit the streets, getting in her daily cardio workout for the day.

The 'Yes Day' actress wore no makeup, while pinning her brunette hair back in a sloppy bun. She was dressed in black athleisure attire and Nike running sneakers.

Garner put on a black pullover sweater and sunglasses after finishing her run and enjoyed a takeaway cup of coffee with a friend. But when images of the star circulated online, some netizens attacked her laid-back appearance.

One Facebook user, commenting on her morning run pictures, said, "[Garner] looks like a platypus, always has."

Another comment mocked her au naturel looks and said, "Put the makeup back on please." Another cooment read, "I never understood the hype. She looks like every other Yt woman; drab and ordinary. Then her voice is ugh."

However, many users supported her with one stating, "More women should show their natural beauty and drop the make up IMV. Show your character."

A fan defended her and penned, "Good for her! She is beautiful. Why she would put make up when she jogs??? AND…. on a rainy day????"

Garner has long been praised for her ability to go from playing  nice, down-to-earth characters like in '13 going on 30' to bold and aggressive personas like 'Elektra' on screen. 

Her hairstylist believes that styling her hair is part of the transformational process.

Off screen, she has garnered the reputation of being 'America's sweetheart' and is known for her down-to-earth parenting style and her cordial relationship with ex-husband Ben Affleck.
