LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It seems Madonna dropped Al Pacino a clear hint during their first encounter. According to the biography 'Madonna: A Rebel Life', which comes out on October 12, the 'Material Girl' singer allegedly "stuck her tongue" in 'The Godfather' actor's ear after they were introduced.

Whitley Hill, a former roommate of Madonna who is now 65 years old, recalled the singer's antics in the Mary Gabriel book, including one involving Al back in the 1970s.

Madonna's encounter with Al Pacino

Whitley described how, during a dinner in New York City sometime between 1978 and 1979, her father Ed Setrakian met Al and introduced him to Madonna.

After they left the restaurant, Ed drove everyone home. When it was just him and Al, the latter allegedly said to the former, "That friend of your daughter's stuck her tongue in my ear." Al allegedly continued, "When we were driving home, she leaned over and stuck her tongue in my ear!"

Whitley claims that Al also informed Ed, Madonna's father, that Madonna called "attention to her mouth." The 'Papa Don't Preach' singer allegedly chewed gum in front of the actor at that time in a "slow, deliberate manner."

Was Madonna famous at the time?

Madonna was not yet famous when the antics occurred. She was pursuing a career as a modern dancer while also working at Dunkin' Donuts. Al, on the other hand, was already a major Hollywood actor, having appeared in 'The Godfather', 'The Godfather Part II', and 'Serpico'.

Madonna and Al Pacino's collaborations

Madonna and Al have worked together in the years since. They shot scenes for the 1990 film 'Dick Tracy', with Madonna playing Breathless Mahoney, while Al played Bad Boy Caprice. She was rumored to have a fling with their co-star Warren Beatty, so they weren't romantically involved.

Around the time of their film's release, Madonna mentioned Al. She stated to author Mike Bonifer of the behind-the-scenes book 'Dick Tracy: The Making of the Movie' that "Whenever Al put his prosthetics on, his suit … he was always smacking my butt and my face. I hated him, I loathed him, I was disgusted with him," as reported by Page Six.
