Man takes DNA test because his daughter is 'too pretty to be his'— a major surprise awaited him

As Lan grew older, her father began to feel that she didn't resemble him at all. So he decided to do a DNA test in the hopes of easing his concerns.

In a bizarre coincidence, the girl attended a new school where she and a classmate shared the same birthday and birth hospital. When Lan chose to celebrate her birthday with her friend, their parents met for the first time. Lan's uncanny resemblance to her friend's mother was obvious from the get-go. Suspicions fueled an investigation, and DNA testing soon revealed that the girls had been mistakenly switched at birth. Since the shocking discovery, both families grew close, spending time together and secretly planning how to reveal the news to their children when the time was appropriate. In a similar occurrence, a woman on TikTok disclosed that she was handed the wrong baby when she was in the hospital and she took care of someone else's baby for hours.

In the video, she said, “We’ve all seen the movies where the babies get swapped in the hospital when the parents take the wrong one home. Never in a million years did I think this was something I’d have to worry about. But yes, it did happen to us.” She captioned her video, “My newborn baby was swapped at birth.” As the video went viral, fans rushed to the comment section to chime in other chilling birth stories. On TikTok, a person (@rachelwade92), shared, “They came in one night and took my baby for antibiotics. It was about 3 am and I didn’t think much of it, even though she wasn’t on any antibiotics.”

Another person, @sineadd5, shared, “Our baby wasn’t checked until 14 hours after birth. They did her obs and rushed her to the NICU. Told us she had a lung infection and was she incubated.” A netizen (@iwannapartay), shared a similar switched-at-birth incident. They recounted, “A similar thing happened to my brother.
