'Christmas is Mariah's cash cow and, like a spoiled child, she doesn't want to share,' a source said

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Mariah Carey is said to be enraged after Cher announced plans for a Christmas album.
Carey, 54, is known as the Queen of Christmas pop due to the decades-long success of her hit single 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'.
Mariah Carey furious at Cher
The 1994 single release has been a consistent earner for Mariah Carey over the years, but according to the National Enquirer, she is now angry that Cher has dared to steal some of her holiday glory.

An insider dubbed Mariah's reaction to the news "pathetic" after Cher, 77, teased fans with the release previously. They told the outlet, as quoted by The Mirror, "It's pretty pathetic because Cher hasn't said a word against her, but Mariah's been trashing Cher for daring to put out a Christmas album."
They continued by saying that the reason for her rage is the money she receives each year from her Christmas hit, which has brought in over $70 million for her since it was first released 29 years ago. She still earns an estimated $1.2 million annually from the track.

The source said, "Christmas is Mariah's cash cow and, like a spoiled child, she doesn't want to share. She truly seems to think she owns the holiday."
It was previously believed that Mariah was angry when Christina Aguilera's rival holiday album 'My Kind of Christmas' was released in October 2000, .
The source added that Mariah's antics would not bother Cher, saying, "Anytime another artist, especially a female, releases a Christmas album, Mariah throws a hissy fit. Someone like Christina will give it right back to her, but Cher's way past that. Cher has got to be laughing out loud."
Feud between Mariah Carey and Cher is one-sided
Additionally, they called the dispute a "one-sided feud" and said "Mariah is making herself miserable over it!" Mariah probably has nothing to worry about because it seems unlikely that anyone would match her Christmas hit's 415 million views and 4.5 million likes on YouTube.
In the meantime, Cher has been charged with ordering the kidnapping of her own son during his divorce battle. According to rumors, she paid four men to abduct Elijah Blue Allman in the latter half of 2022.
The allegations were detailed in court documents filed on December 5, 2022, which have just come to light due to the ongoing divorce proceedings between Elijah and his wife, Marie King. Elijah sought a divorce from her in 2021.
On November 30, 2022, when they were attempting to "reconcile" their marriage on their wedding anniversary, Marie, 36, has now alleged that Cher paid four men to remove Elijah, 47, from their New York hotel room. At the time, the singer was reportedly worried about his welfare.
