LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Matthew Perry and Courteney Cox shared a magnificent chemistry on 'Friends', and it appears the feelings weren't limited to their characters.

The late actor played Chandler, boyfriend and later husband to Cox’s Monica, in the hit sitcom.

He was 54 when he was found dead in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home on October 28.

Though Cox has not individually said anything following her co-star’s death, a previous report has resurfaced saying Perry “always loved” the 59-year-old actress.

For a brief period, Cox and McDaid broke off in 2015 and as per reports, at the time, Perry helped her.

Citing a tipster who spoke with Perez Hilton, The Mirror reported, “It's no surprise that Matthew was one of the first people Courteney called after Johnny left her.”

“They've leaned on each other before. There isn't any pressure to put a label on it just yet, but they're excited to see where this might go,” the source shared.

Eventually, Perry went on to start a relationship with Molly Hurwitz. However, as per insiders, he has “always been in love with” Cox.

“Matthew has never fully been able to get over her,” they added.

Meanwhile, the main cast members of ‘Friends’ — Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Cox — have issued a joint statement in the wake of Perry’s shocking death.

They shared, as per The Guardian, “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just castmates. We are a family.”

“There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able,” the statement noted.

“For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world,” they added.
