Hours after the 'Friends' star was laid to rest, Briana Brancato, 34, shared a picture of an outdoor fire heater burning beneath a tree at Hotel Bel-Air on her Instagram Stories.

In his book published last year, Matthew mentions his platonic, but intimate, relationship with the woman who worked as his personal assistant.
His assistant was reportedly the one who called 911 in a panic to report discovering Matthew's body in the jacuzzi at his Pacific Palisades home; however, it is unclear if this individual was Briana Brancato.

The actor disclosed in the book that one of his closest, longest-lasting relationships was with his assistant, though he didn't mention her name; instead, he merely used the fictitious term "Erin" to describe her.

He referred to her as his "best friend," claimed that she "saved my life," and even said that she spent five months by his bedside while he healed from a burst colon. He also included her in moving sequences in both the first and last chapters.
The late 'Friends' star claimed that although their connection never developed romantically, she swiftly became one of his closest friends.
According to his memoir, 'Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing', he first got to know "Erin" a few years back when she was employed at the recovery center he frequented, as reported by Daily Mail.

"In the sober living house in Southern California, I had a view of West LA and two queen-size beds," Perry mentioned, adding Erin was sleeping on the other bed.
He added, "I'd met her two years earlier, at another rehab where she had been working at the time. I didn't get sober back then, but I saw how wonderful she was in every way and promptly stole her from that sober living rehab and made her my assistant, and she became my best friend."
In the past, Briana has likewise been secretive about her relationships with Matthew, simply revealing on LinkedIn that she works for Phil Shubano Inc as a "Personal Assistant" to an "A List Celebrity."
However, according to California corporate documents, the 'Friends' star controlled the business, which bears the name of a former alias he used to get prescription medications.

Following his death, Briana shared sentimental photos of herself with Matthew on social media. "I've expressed my deepest gratitude to him on numerous occasions, not only for guiding me into a career I cherish but also for allowing me to take care of him for 7 years."
"Along w [with] the countless other experiences I'm thankful for. From witnessing him in his genius to sharing in his worldly adventures living around the world, he took me on a remarkable journey," she added.
