LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The death certificate of Matthew Perry is now public. But his official cause of death is yet to be revealed.
The Blast, citing the document, reported that the ‘Friends’ star’s death cause has been listed as “deferred.”
It has also been said that only the pending toxicology reports could provide the actual reason behind the tragedy. The death certificate listed Perry as someone who “never married” and worked in “entertainment.”

‘Matthew brought so much joy to the world’
The 54-year-old star breathed his last on October 28 after years of battling addiction. The actor was reportedly committed to sobriety in his final days, taking only prescribed anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications.
Following his death, his family said, “We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother. Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend.”
“You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love,” they added.
His ‘Friends’ co-stars also issued a statement, noting, “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates.”
They asserted, “We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”
Matthew Perry's funeral: 'Not a dry eye in there’
On November 3, Perry was put to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Apart from his mother Suzanne Morrison, 84, stepfather Keith, 76, and father John Perry, 82, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer were also in attendance.
An eyewitness reportedly shared, “There was not a dry eye in there. There were a lot of tears and laughter. Only close friends and family spoke.”

Matthew Perry Foundation will honor actor's legacy of helping other addicts
Meanwhile, an organization named the Matthew Perry Foundation has been started to provide help to those who face addiction challenges, BBC reported.
The foundation’s statement read, “In the spirit of Matthew Perry's enduring commitment to helping others struggling with the disease of addiction, we embark on a journey to honor his legacy by establishing the Matthew Perry Foundation, guided by his own words and experiences, and driven by his passion for making a difference in as many lives as possible.”
