Michael Douglas, 79, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, 54, selling Bermuda mansion as separation rumors swirl
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones' 'marriage is over,' an insider claimed, adding 'they are definitely living separate lives'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hollywood power couple Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are selling their longtime Bermuda vacation home, sparking rumors that there may be trouble in paradise.
According to an insider, the two are leading separate lives, with the energetic Jones, 54, in Europe on a charity golf tour and Douglas, 79, cooped up in their upstate New York home along the Hudson River.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones living 'separate lives'
The insider told Radar Online, "The marriage is over, but they don't want to do the whole divorce and separation thing. So, they have this arrangement that's working for them because nobody knows about it. They are definitely living separate lives."
Their recent decision to sell their prized Longford House, a massive 9,500 square foot English country-style home with five bedrooms sitting on 3.12 acres in Warwick, Bermuda, is allegedly proof of their failing 23-year marriage, according to the tipster.
200-year-old estate up for a cool $12M
The 1827-built estate, which has a gated pool, a covered cedar veranda extending 50 feet, a herb garden, a tennis court with covered viewing pavilions, and other amenities, is up for a cool $12 million.
After it became known that the Oscar-winning actor had throat cancer after contracting a virus through oral sexual contact, according to published reports, the couple, who have two children together, Dylan, 23, and Carys, 20, briefly separated in 2013. Jones was coping with bipolar II and depression at the same time.
Neighbors say the couple is like 'chalk and cheese'

One of their neighbors told UK Sun, "We have not seen much of Michael here with Catherine for about 18 months. Most of his friends are in New York. He likes the city, and she likes horses and playing golf. They're like chalk and cheese."
After the separation, the couple got back together the following year and appeared to be inseparable. However, as per reports, Jones is eager to live her life now that their children are adults.
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones' 23-year marriage
The insider spilled, "They're hitting 23 years together, and he's going into his 80s, and she's still young at 53."
They added, "Their marriage was never really the same after they reconciled following their brief split. Since she was suffering from bipolar at the time, she didn't want to separate from him. So, they got back together publicly but remained separated."
The insider claims Zeta-Jones is having a blast with Kathryn Newton and Andy Garcia at the celebrity amateur competition Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland. Despite her 'Wall Street' actor husband's 2005 pairing with Scottish golfer Colin Montgomerie, this is her first time participating in the competition.
Insider said, "He's upstate on his own, which is weird because he's an avid golfer, and he's done that competition before, so the fact that he's not with her is telling."
