Furious mom dump's 6-year-old girl's food in the bin for stealing her daughter's $50 bento lunchbox
Jennifer stated that she did not feel terrible about teaching her daughter's bully a lesson when the school didn't take any action
AUSTIN, TEXAS: A mother was enraged when her six-year-old daughter returned home "in tears" because her classmate had apparently stolen her $50 bento lunchbox. Unable to stomach her daughter being bullied, the mother took matters into her own hands after the school refused to act.
Jennifer of Texas was unpacking her daughter's backpack when she found her beautiful new lunchbox had gone missing.
The girl reported that a classmate of hers, Audrey, had snatched it from her and refused to return it. Worse, their teacher advised she "forget the matter" because it was "only a lunchbox".
The mother requested a meeting with the teacher and administrator the following day to discuss the incident, during which the school insisted Audrey keep the lunchbox for an extra day because she packed food in it.
But, irritated, the angry mother tossed out Audrey's lunch and took back the bento box, causing the six-year-old to sob, as reported by Daily Mail.
'I politely requested Audrey give my daughter her lunchbox'
The mom recalled,"I politely requested Audrey give my daughter her lunchbox back, but she started crying. The teacher asked if it would be okay if Audrey kept it for the day since her food was already in there. But I refused and said they had five minutes to find something else to put her food in or I would be dumping it out."
She added, "Instead of finding her a closed container, they begun arguing with me. So I stood up and grabbed the bento box and threw the food in the trash."
Jennifer stated that she did not feel terrible about her 'childish' behavior because the institution gives free food to students.
"Audrey can afford her own bento box; we live in a high-income neighbourhood. She took my daughter's lunch because she's a bully and the school doesn't discipline her," she said, fuming.
