Some artists have a way of connecting with people, no matter their age or background. Jelly Roll is one of those rare voices—and if you’ve ever heard his music, you already know why. It is hence no surprise that a mom found her 6-year-old daughter singing Roll’s emotional song 'I Am Not Okay' and completely zoning out. When she recorded the same, she had no idea it would reach the singer himself. After hearing the little girl perform, Roll responded in a way no one expected—he decided to give her the surprise of her lifetime.

Elizabeth Mary (@eliizabeth.maryy) shared a video of her daughter, Paisley Russo, having a tough day. She stayed in bed, singing to herself and reminding herself that everything would be okay. As reported by People magazine, the text overlay of her TikTok video read, "Woke up this morning and heard music coming from my daughter's room — caught her lying in bed, just zoning out to some Jelly Roll. I guess even 6-year-olds need to remind themselves sometimes that it's 'all gonna be alright.'" Additionally, in the caption of the video, Mary wrote, "If you ever need an opener for a show...this girl loves you and loves to sing/perform," tagging the popular singer and his wife, Bunnie XO.

The video did reach Roll, and he was touched by it. Knowing his song could lift someone’s spirits—even a 6-year-old—meant everything. So, he decided to respond. He wrote, “Maybe the best video ever.” He also shared the video, hoping to brighten the little girl’s day. His wife also commented, "Oh my God, haha so cute—FELT SISTER." Mary was surprised by the response and replied, "Oh my God, I can’t wait to show her this! She is going to freak out!! 🤍🫶🏻" She also responded to the singer’s wife and said, "Oh my God, Hi. 🥰 Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my little aspiring popstar!! We love y'all! 🫶🏻💕"

People in the comment section also showered the little girl with praise. A TikTok user, @angielea69, assured, “It’s going to be okay, baby girl. You keep singing, sweetheart.” Another person, @jojo_52079, wrote, “Jelly Roll is the real deal and absolutely loves his fans of all ages.” In a similar vein, a person, @kyialabar40, chimed, “This is giving Lilo and Elvis vibes, and I’m loving every second of it.” Mary then posted a follow-up video capturing the big moment of her telling her daughter that her favorite singer had watched her perform.

As reported by Amplify Upworthy, the little girl’s eyes widened in shock before she let out an excited gasp. All smiles, the little girl went on to thank Roll for watching her video and shared her wish to meet him someday and sing with him. Before the clip ends, she sweetly blows a kiss to the camera. Now, all that’s left is for fate—or maybe Roll—to make their meeting a reality. The TikTok video has since gone viral and has gained millions of views.
