Mom spots her baby napping in the most random place — parents everywhere are saying 'same'
Kids have the uncanny talent for falling asleep just about anywhere when they're tired. Sometimes, their nap spots are so unique and hilarious that you can't stop talking about them. In one such instance, a mom on TikTok, Lo Beeston, who goes by the username @lobeeston, shared an adorable video of her daughter Stella napping in a rather unusual place in their house. As well as the most unexpected spot to nap, social media users were also drawn to the baby’s cuteness. Some couldn't help but wonder if the soft and cozy carpet made it the perfect place for her to doze off.
The mom is heard saying at the beginning of the video, "Stella skipped her nap today because she said she wasn't tired. And then we're looking for her like, 'Stella, where are you?'" She then turns the camera and walks down the stairs to show Stella sleeping at the bottom of the staircase. The woman then took the camera closer to Stella's face, showing her baby fast asleep, unaware of her surroundings. In the caption, Stella's mom revealed that it took her nearly 30 minutes to wake her daughter up, as Motherly reports.
The adorable yet funny video prompted interesting reactions, and a few of them also shared similar experiences with their babies. One TikTok user, @jking414, commented, “So funny, why are toddlers so hilarious when they truly are just being their genuine selves lol.” Another person, @shevonnejohnson45, wrote, “She’s just resting her eyes while checking to see if the carpet is clean.” As the video resonated with @lalamay2002, they chimed in, “When you find that one comfy spot and your eyes close for a little longer than those 5 seconds you told yourself you'd close them for.”
@rayedigital shared a similar incident and said, “Mine fell asleep in a cardboard box next to the couch. She slept there all night, I wasn't going to dare to move her, as she was having a sleep regression and hadn't slept in 2 days.” @lab17532 jokes, “Once my 2-year-old was in mid-conversation with me as she walked toward me down the hallway. I turned away for 2 seconds and she was on the floor sleeping in the middle of the hallway just like this.” @nighteyes555 also shared, “I’ve found one of my kids wrapped around the leg of the piano, in a closet, under the bed, behind a curtain, and in the toy box!”
Meanwhile, a research study conducted on 1,000 parents with children under the age of five found that kids often doze off in the oddest places, about three times a month. The most unexpected nap spots include behind curtains on window sills, and even mid-climb on the stairs, as reported by The Independent. Several other bizarre sleeping spots include supermarket trolleys, toilet seats, and even while standing up.
