Mother's emotional reaction at graduation shows how differently moms and dads celebrate big moments

A mom of two, Julie Fohrman, has captured millions of hearts on the internet after her emotional reaction to her children’s graduation was caught on camera. This heartwarming moment came when twin siblings Emma (@eosam428) and Noah Sametz prepared for their graduation ceremonies from different colleges, on the same day. Upon learning this, Fohrman couldn't control her tears. However, on the other hand, their dad, David Sametz, had a more logical reaction to the news. As the video clip went viral online, the internet started comparing the reactions of mom and dad.

As reported by Amplify Upworthy, the text overlay on the TikTok video read, "POV: My twin brother's graduation is on the same date, so my mom is at his and my dad is at mine." Emma recalled that while their mother got emotional, their dad kept saying, "It is what it is. We have twins, but we also have two parents, and we’ll make it work." Eventually, after much discussion, Fohrman went to Austin, Texas, to attend Noah's graduation at the University of Texas. David went to Madison for Emma’s graduation at the University of Wisconsin, as reported by TODAY.

Emma also called her mom on video, and she couldn't control her tears when she saw her daughter wearing her graduation robe. Speaking of her emotional reaction in the video clip, Fohrman later found it pretty funny. But she still felt bad not to be there at her daughter's graduation. She also said that other mothers on the internet will surely resonate with her feelings. Fohrman said, “You can’t hear what I was saying because Emma put music over it. But it was, ‘I’m so proud of you. I wish I could be there." The TikTok video soon captured the attention of the people as they shared their views in the comment section.

One TikTok user, @ferlindes, commented, “Mom to twin toddlers and I didn’t even think of this. I will be stressed every day from here on out, thank you.” Another person, @jesskess2dai, questioned, “I just wanna know how that decision was made. Did the kids have to nominate their favorite parent?” A third TikTok user, @queaaaaxo, mockingly said, “How dare the two of you not go to the same school! Your poor mom. Dad is over there just vibing and mom is crushed.” Another one, @gamerassassin098, chimed in and wrote, “You know what, good on your parents. I see too many where they both decide to go to one or the other.”
Meanwhile, Emma shared that before this, they were lucky enough that none of their events overlapped. Even this time, just a day after the graduation ceremony, both the parents and the siblings reunited at the University of Wisconsin. As her daughter's TikTok video went viral a day ago, Fohrman felt like a celebrity when she went to meet her daughter. David also mockingly said that Fohrman does make a good crying face. This incident reveals that the way our mom and dad react to anything is due to the close bond that they share with us.
