Nervous toddler thought his dad was going to fall through glass floor — tries his best to 'save' him

Kids are the purest beings. Their innocence and unconditional love for their family often inspire the world. On that note, a toddler trying to protect his father from a perceived danger won millions of hearts with his bizarre reaction. Parents Frances and Stephen, who run their family TikTok page @francesandstephen, did not have the faintest idea that their 3-year-old son, Mason, would freak out during their visit to an iconic location in England. While their son was stressed out, it mirrored the close-knit bond the father and son shared.

The family of three was vacationing in Blackpool, England. As they climbed to the top of the iconic Blackpool Tower, scenic views of Liverpool and the Isle of Man intrigued them. The parents did not realize that the skywalk would escape the little boy’s naive understanding. A skywalk is characterized by a glass floor allowing visitors a new perspective under their feet. While many would fear for their safety, most skywalks are built out of sturdy, clear glass that may endure the heavy weights. Hence, the top of the tower was adorned with skywalks, known as the Walk of Faith, on the edges, built to endure the net weight of about two elephants.

But nobody told Mason that. The young man was all stressed out as he saw his father on the verge of falling through the floor, at least, in his eyes. Keen to walk on the skywalk, Stephen curiously got on the glass floor and took a few steps to check out the view. However, Mason tried to stop his dear dad with all his might, crying out to warn him. “No, daddy! No!” he yelled, as other kids stared at him in amazement. When his daddy did not listen, Mason turned up his volume to ensure his father heard him. He roared and cried until his father stopped. Turning towards him, Stephen was startled to see his son sobbing on the other end. Stephen quickly rushed back to comfort his son.

“How my 3-year-old tries to save his dad at Blackpool tower,” the overlay text stated while the caption confessed, “He loves his dad.” As the video reached millions of viewers, Stephen and Frances allowed a deeper insight into their son’s loving nature. "Mason is always asking if his mummy and daddy are OK, and loves his parents so much. When Stephen started to move on to the Skywalk, Mason got so scared as he thought that Daddy was going to fall,” the parents told Newsweek. Without a doubt, Mason and his father are super close and always play together. In addition, the mother added that the father and son are also “very alike, which makes them so close.”
