'Not much of a gentleman': Kevin Costner's manners under fire as he gets female helper to carry his bags
'Did she work at the shop? Or is his personal assistant? Not clear. But still he should carry the larger of heavier things,' said a disappointed fan

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kevin Costner has recently been called out for his behavior on a recent shopping trip. The 68-year-old actor was reportedly seen getting women's items and it was speculated that those were for his first wife Cindy Costner, whose birthday was on October 29.
He was accompanied by a woman, most probably his assistant, who was weighed down by boxes while Costner held one light bag in his hand.
Daily Mail shared his photo of the shopping trip on its Facebook page. What troubled Costner fans was him holding an apparent lighter item and weighing down his young female helper with the bulk of his shopping.
‘No real man has a woman carry his stuff’
A user commented, “How ridiculous! She is carrying the heavy packages and he has a bag. What a cad!”
The second user wrote, “Did she work at the shop? Or is his personal assistant? Not clear. But still he should carry the larger of heavier things. Yes, a gentleman would. And perhaps that’s why his marriage……you know.”
“No real man has a woman carry his ‘stuff,’” the third one remarked.

The fourth user said, “Not much of a gentleman.”
“Female assistant from the store maybe. She’s got too big of a smile on her face to be an assistant that he makes Carry all of his large items. I’m sorry but this is weird either way. At that moment, as the assistant, I would think differently of any man if His hands weren’t full. He could have done this job,” the fifth one added.
‘I’ve learned a lot about just being a gentleman’
Though many questioned Costner’s “gentlemanliness”, his ‘Yellowstone’ co-star Cole Hauser thinks differently.

He told Fox News last year, “Before an actor or as a creative soul is just him as a person. He’s from the kind of area in California [that I’m from]. He’s from Ventura. I’m from Santa Barbara.”
“And getting to know him over the last five years, I mean I’ve learned a lot about just being a gentleman on set and just a class act… He’s got [a] a family,” the 48-year-old shared.
Hauser also added, “I have three kids, and a wonderful wife. And he’s just someone to look up to in my opinion. And then creatively, his storytelling, his want, and desire to continue to push the envelope as a… creator… it’s inspiring.”
