People are loving what this boyfriend said about 'healing' and it’s making others feel seen too

Trigger warning: This article contains themes of mental health issues that some readers may find distressing.
We all need people who can acknowledge our confused emotions, and fortunate are those who find that someone special in their partner or spouse. Anna Muller, who goes by @annaboena on TikTok, isn't just dating a green flag; she has hit the jackpot with a whole green forest. When she found herself struggling with mental health issues, her boyfriend immediately stepped up, giving her the "pep talk" she desperately needed.

"You don't have a good history with change either, so it's another trauma response," the man said, validating Anna's feelings and motivating her to work through the problems with patience and love. Her boyfriend went on to explain how she was caught off guard by some unexpected changes in her life that probably fueled her anxiety. "Understand and accept that change can be a good thing, and like a lot. That's not your fault by any means. You were not set up to succeed in any of that, between doctors not listening to you, therapists not listening to you, psychologists not listening to you," he said, justifying how past experiences had made Anna a little more hesitant to embrace changes.

"A lot of people have failed you," the man said, to which Anna chuckled, saying, "Ouch!" as if a flashback of all those difficult moments crossed her mind. "It's easier to expect the worst, because then you can't be let down. Change doesn't have to be bad just because you have had bad experiences with it," Anna's boyfriend said, encouraging her to recognize and accept change as it is. "I am here to help you in any way I can and any way that you are willing to accept that help," he said, and in that moment, he proved how much Anna means to him.
Anna's clip received an overwhelming response on social media, leaving people awestruck by how gently her partner tried to ease her discomfort. Echoing the sentiments, one user who goes by @gab_n_go on TikTok said, "Marry that man. I fully plan on marrying my version of that. They are so, so, so special!" @j_fith shared, "He’s using his tone of voice very well. He is validating you very well. Props, my guy. This is how I try to talk to my girl as well." Similarly, @cryoprecipitate wrote, "If this kind of opportunity comes to you, please don't sabotage it. Just accept it and let it happen. Healing is hard, and only a few people offer this."

On the other hand, @sammy commented, "I just love how gentle he is with you; everybody deserves this type of love. This is exactly like my man." @kimi said, "Everyone enduring trauma needs a person like him by their side. Be grateful to such a person." Meanwhile, @loftnessmonstah confessed, "Crying the most bittersweet tears right now. I am so grateful to you. It's a blessing to have this support and love in your life, and I appreciate the vulnerability you step into sharing all of this." Another user, @aaronmfarr, pointed out, "Talking sternly, but calmly. You can tell that he really cares about you and genuinely wants to help you get through this." A person, @asia said, "I have to say. Your boyfriend's words healed something in me after being in a dark hole. I hope you appreciate him as much as he appreciates you."
