An optical illusion making the rounds on the internet has a snow leopard hiding in plain sight. But the hunt for the creature in the picture has many losing their minds as its fur acts as a natural camouflage against the rugged mountain terrains they are typically found in. Local to Central and South Asia, the snow leopard is an expert at hiding, thanks to its thick white-gray skin and distinctive black spots. Even when it is directly facing the camera, it is almost impossible to spot it.

Reddit users expressed their frustration at the challenge, with many taking to the comments section to seek the answer. A Reddit user, u/Well_of_Good_Fortune, commented, “This is one of my all-time favorite photos. It's so spectacular once you know what's there, and it shows how good the camouflage is. Also, for anyone concerned, this cat is across a valley from the photographer. I think the telephoto lens was almost as long as their leg.” Another person, u/QuasarQuester, wrote, “Took me 15 minutes to find him, kept looking for a large hidden white face. Had to completely zoom in to find a tiny yellow face with pointy ears.”

Similarly, a netizen, u/NO_IM_THE_BATMAN, stated, “Wow, this is such a good one. Usually the ones with cats hidden in them it’s like… a face poking out of somewhere. This is almost its entire body, and there are barely any places to even look, considering half the photo is blurred. Now that I see it, I can’t believe it took me so long to find it. 10/10.” Chiming in, another person, u/Effective-Bus4026, remarked, “So COOL!!! Never can I find these, and I found this one!!! Thought it was a fake, then BAM!!! It slapped me in my face lol. Up and left of center. Zoom in! Just below the snow cap.”

As the comments poured in, another individual, u/Chigurh09, begged, “Please help me. I still can’t find him and I’ve been looking for an hour. Are you sure it’s there? Lol.” If you're still having trouble spotting the snow leopard, focus your attention toward the center of the image. The photographer in question had also captured a picture of the leopard walking near the mountain peak. These magnificent creatures are accustomed to such high altitudes. They thrive in mountainous areas, frequently reaching elevations of over 3,000 meters. As reported by the Daily Mail, the regions these leopards call home have, however have greatly diminished due to climate change.

If you managed to find the leopard, here's another tricky brainteaser. See if you can spot the hidden deer. It’s not as easy as it sounds. Initially, the image might appear to be a typical winter woodland, filled with nothing but leaf-strewn ground and skeletal trees. But hidden within the scene is a single deer, as reported by The Mirror. We'll leave you with a hint. The creature isn’t at the forefront—and it’s obviously not hiding in the sky. So, focus on the center of the image. Good luck!
