Tipping has been a hot topic in the U.S. lately, and a lot of people are questioning who deserves a tip, while servers are complaining about the changing attitudes of customers. But for Post Malone, generosity isn’t up for debate and the rapper made a local waitress’s day by leaving an eye-popping tip. The astonished waitress praised Malone as an extremely genuine individual, saying that she couldn't believe the gesture. As soon as word about his generosity was out, Reddit was filled with fans and other servers telling their tales of his extravagant tipping practices.

A Reddit user, who goes by the username r/ServerLife, posted the proof of the generous act, sharing a snapshot of the bill, as reported by Ladbible. The person wrote, "Been serving nearly 20 years and by far the best tip I have ever received. Such a genuine and cool dude. This begs the question. Which celebrities have you served that were generous? Any surprisingly cheap celebrities?" The photo revealed Malone’s $3,000 tip on his $3,472 bill, bringing the total to $6,472. Reddit users wasted no time jumping into the conversation, and many chimed in with their own stories.

One Reddit user commented, “I worked his birthday party this year, and he tipped each of us servers $1000 for maybe 5 hours of work and was ridiculously sweet.” Another person praised Malone and wrote, “People can judge Post Malone all they want, but we know he has our backs in the service industry. He sees the unseen. Dude sounds like he has a heart of gold from all accounts, which only increases my respect and admiration for him.” Following this, a user added, “I had the opportunity to play some beer pong with him and have a Chat when I was in SLC. He is such a nice guy!”

In addition to the praise for Malone, a lot of other people talked about their similar encounters with other celebrities. One Reddit user shared, “Restaurant next door served Dana White before I came in for my shift. My manager told me he bought staff drinks and was super nice. Tipped the server $1000.” Another person commented, “I'm not a server, but Martin Sheen was a regular at one of my favorite spots in the Poconos. I was there one night when he picked up everyone's tabs at the bar and hung out for a solid hour. This was years ago, so he was also with the late greats Jack Palance, Paul Sorvino, and Jason Miller. The staff said he always tipped 100% and would routinely pay for everyone who was there that night. Cool guy.”

Malone's generosity has made headlines more than once. During his 'Twelve Carat' tour, he crossed paths with Scottish singer Gregor Hunter Coleman at a Glasgow bar. As reported by the BBC, the meeting took an unexpected turn when Malone, impressed by Coleman's performance, gave him enough money for a down payment on a home. In another incident, the rapper once casually distributed $50,000 in cash in 2020 at a Miami nightclub. The lucky clubgoers subsequently posted videos of the scene on Instagram.
