“Jurassic Jeff” weighs 150 kilos, which is equivalent to 48,000 tea bags and, is resting with his shirt wide open in the Potters Fields Park near London's Tower Bridge.
Would it be hard for you to believe that it’s been 25 years since we saw those dinosaurs running after Jeff Goldblum for his life? Yes, it’s been 25 years since the Jurrasic Park was premiered and yet again, something as huge as that movie takes us back in time, and that is a 25-foot-tall replica of the handsome Jeff Goldblum.
Can you believe #JurassicPark is 25? 🤭🦖🦕— NOW TV (@NOWTV) July 18, 2018
To celebrate, we’ve created a Jurassic-sized homage to heartthrob Jeff Goldblum 😍😍😍
He’s waiting for you at Potter’s Field until dinner time tomorrow 🗓#JurassicJeff #JP25 pic.twitter.com/Oimt6WAc8A
This replica of Jeff Goldblum is made by British telecommunications company Now TV and is resting with his shirt wide open in the Potters Fields Park near London's Tower Bridge.
25ft Jeff Goldblum statue pops up in London to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park, which was June 11th, a month ago. Also none of the movie was filmed in London nor is Jeff Goldblum a native of the English capital. So let's just bask in its nonsensical glory. pic.twitter.com/TKQKozleMn— Adam Ricard (@Adam1021) July 18, 2018
However, the whole idea of putting Goldblum’s statue in the Potters Fields Park is a little confusing because it has no connection with him or Jurassic Park.
According to the tweets from Now TV, “Jurassic Jeff” weighs 150 kilos, which is equivalent to 48,000 tea bags. The statue is easily recognizable by his fans, as he holds a pained expression- a scene from the movie Jurassic Park.
In an interview with TODAY in May, the real 6-foot-tall Goldblum was asked whether he would want to recreate the scene that depicts the recent installment of the film series, “Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom” and his role as Ian Malcolm. He said, “Yes if anybody asks, I disrobe at the drop of a hat.”
In a panel discussion, Goldblum recalled his iconic scene and said, “ I have no memory of it, I don't think it was in the script that I was shirtless. I swear I don't remember a conversation. Did I say, 'Hey Steven [Spielberg], can I take my shirt off?' What happened?"
A magnificent erection has appeared in London. https://t.co/tEhZTTDJ6N— Yahoo Movies UK (@YahooMoviesUK) July 18, 2018
However, he is yet to comment on the installation, but it has grabbed a lot of attention from the passer-by and tourists already.Disclaimer : This is based on sources and we have been unable to verify this information independently.
