Off-duty officer saves 3-month-old baby's life on the side of the road

A dashcam footage captures a miracle where a deputy officer saves the life of a 3 month old baby on the side of the road

A dashcam footage of an off-duty police officer stopping on the side of the road to save a stranger's baby's life is most heart-warming and fuels faith back in humanity. As reported by the Metro, deputy Jeremie Nix was in his police cruiser on Southeast Lake Weir and 17th Street in Ocala, Florida, when he met with motioned to stop by a woman on the street.

While most would ignore the woman as a hitchhiker or find her standing there fishy and even drive by faster than usual to prevent an assumed danger, Nix decided otherwise. When he saw a distraught woman with the flasher lights of her white sedan on while she was standing outside flagging him down, he stopped immediately to look into the matter.

On getting out of the car, Nix was baffled. He was met with an unresponsive boy in the car and before he could think twice, he was kneeling down on the ground administering CPR trying to revive him. The boy was all of three-months-old and needed as much emergency help as possible to breathe again.

Nechole Crowell, the mother was beside herself in anguish, especially since the boy's condition was not improving. Nix had no other option but to rush the boy to the nearby Ocala Regional Medical Centre as the last straw to save him.

The Marion County Sherriff’s Office later shared updates about the baby's condition after he was admitted to the hospital and said, "Deputy Nix delivered the child to medical personnel, who then began treating the child. We are happy to report that Baby Kingston is doing very well and doctors say he will make a full recovery!!"

The report continued - "doctors also said that because of K9 Deputy Nix’s actions, Baby Kingston is alive today. We are tremendously proud of Deputy Nix and we can already see that he and Baby Kingston will have a deep connection that will last a lifetime!!"

King's mom later went on Facebook and thanked Deputy Nix for saving his son's life. She also uploaded beautiful pictures of him standing next to his son while in the hospital. She wrote-

"Let me just say that yesterday GOD showed me just how real he was."

"My son KING was barely breathing, & fighting for his life. My sister & I noticed an officer sitting at a red light & we got his attention. With his fast thinking, HE & GOD saved my son.... after his shift he and his beautiful wife came to stands just to see him again."

"His word to me was “Don’t you worry, I will not leave until I help save your son!” “GOD had me in the right place because he knew you needed me... THANK YOU OFFICER JAY NIX FROM THE OCALA SHERIFFS OFFICE K-9 unit !!"

"I just wanted the world to know how great this officer is, & how GREAT GOD is........ not all officers are bad, he’s one of many good guys  ❤️ ❤️ KING & I WILL FOREVER APPRECIATE YOU"
