LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Reese Witherspoon has reportedly been working on herself following her difficult divorce from Jim Toth, with whom she tied the knot in 2011.

As per a source, “Reese is embracing this new chapter of her life — looking forward to the future, reflecting on everything she’s been through, and trying not to judge herself for taking a break when she needs it,” OK! Magazine reported.

The insider also mentioned that the 47-year-old actress has "dialed down” her working hours to focus on herself and her personal life, which includes having quality time with family and friends.

She reportedly shared, “I’ve learned a lot and I reward myself for the hard things that little Reese went through.”

“I’ve definitely had a lot of not sane moments in my life, crying on the kitchen floor and my kids putting their stuffed animals on me going, ‘It’s going to be OK mom,’” the film producer said.

Witherspoon also stated, “I feel really fortunate that I am able to get help, that at times that I’ve needed it, I’ve been able to take medicine."

“I’ve learned coping mechanisms my entire life. Depression is real. There’s nothing embarrassing or shameful about any of this,” she added.

‘It’s been a difficult year' for Reese Witherspoon

Besides, it has been said that the most significant support system for Witherspoon is her children — Ava Elizabeth Phillippe, 24; Deacon Reese Phillippe, 20; and Tennessee James Toth, 11.

Another tipster spilled, “It’s been a difficult year for her. But leaning on her kids is helping.”

“She had them young and is enjoying this phase. She genuinely loves hanging out with them and their friends and partners,” the insider added.

‘These matters are never easy’

This comes after Witherspoon and Toth announced their split earlier this year via a statement that reportedly read, “We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together.”

The ex-pair added, “Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter. These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone’s respect for our family’s privacy at this time.”
