Sarah Jessica Parker ditches gray hair for ultra-glam look, silences trolls calling her 'grandma'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sarah Jessica Parker is synonymous with her iconic character of Carrie Bradshaw in ‘Sex and the City’ and now in 'And Just Like That...'. Part of living up to that character means fans expect her to always be impeccably turned out. 

So her adoring public were taken aback when the 58-year-old actress made headlines for flaunting her natural gray hair a few years back. Worse, some trolls even attacked her with hateful comments online.

When Sarah Jessica Parker decided not to dye her gray hair

The ‘Failure to Launch’ star, then 56, went out with Andy Cohen in 2021. The duo was spotted at New York City's Anton's restaurant.

Though Parker maintained her style quotient by wearing a sleeveless blue top along with a chain necklace, there were many online users who were not happy with her as she had not bothered to dye her hair.

The six Golden Globe Awards-winning actress’ photo was shared by Daily Mail on its Instagram page, which soon began to get negative comments attacking her.

A user commented, “Ugh 😑 get your hair done girl.”

Another user wrote, “Wow age has not done her any favors, why are people lying and saying she looks good? Kissing booty much? The woman over here looking like she’s 90.”

“Not a bad thing, and good for her to embrace herself... But do we agree she looks 100?” the third one remarked.

The fourth user shared, “Omg she looks like a grandma. She looks soooo much older than 56. White poeple genes are not made for old age man.”

The fifth one added, “Idk. I’m older than SJP, have had zero work done and zero fillers. I’m sorry, but she looks 20 years older.”

However recently, two years after the 'gray hair' debacle, Parker attended the ATG Summer Party at London's Kensington Palace.

This time her hair was dyed in her signature blonde color and styled in loose waves.

People went gaga over her appearance.

This time, the mother-of-three went all out with her glam look, complimenting her newly colored hair with a green thigh-high slit gown by Elie Saab.

The two-time Primetime Emmy Awards winner also added a pair of metallic heels to give her ensemble an extra glamorous vibe as she went to the September 13 event with her husband, Matthew Broderick.

Parker shared her look for the event on her Instagram page, which received hundreds of thousands of likes and numerous comments, like “This woman literally slays everything she puts on her body.”

A fan stated, “I am speechless.” The second one said, “Gorgeous always.”

A person commenting below a Daily Mail article reportedly mentioned, “She looks much better when she gets rid of grandma's grey hair.”

“Much improved hair! Looks like she’s had a little freshening done,” another one added.

Sarah Jessica Parker understands why people go for cosmetic procedures

Despite these love-hate comments from fans, Parker has never shown that she is particularly bothered, glamming up or dressing down as it suits her.

But she shared on ‘The Howard Stern Show’ about thinking about cosmtic procedures though she's never had them done.

“I mean, I’m presentable. I don’t really like looking at myself… I never have,” she said.

She added, “You know, I missed out on the facelift. Like an old-fashioned good one that you have when you’re like 44. I think about all of it! I ask people all the time like, ‘Is it too late?’” she revealed.
