Scott Baio celebrates 16th wedding anniversary with Renee Sloan who was struck by incurable brain disease

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Scott Baio and his longtime spouse, Renee Sloan, celebrated their wedding anniversary on September 14, 2023, marking a special occasion. The actor shared two photos of himself and his wife side by side on his Twitter or X accounts.

The couple smiled, looked at the camera, and held hands in both photos. While the one seemed to have been taken recently, the other picture was a throwback photo, showing the couple when they were younger. In the caption, the celebrity tagged his wife and wrote, "Happy anniversary."

The couple married in 2007. Baio and his wife have been through many ups and downs throughout their relationship, primarily due to Sloan's health issues, which may explain why the actor is referred to as a role model, as reported by Amomama.

Baio, 46, finally stopped being a sought-after bachelor in March 2008, when he married Sloan, his longtime girlfriend, on the weekend. The former teen idol married the love of his life in Los Angeles at a luxury high-rise rooftop ceremony.

The 'Scott Baio Is 45...and Single' star had been in a long-term relationship with Sloan when the 2007 VH1 show aired. The couple first met in the 1990s at the Playboy Mansion before reconnecting later, with him deciding to make the relationship work or move on.

They avoided each other for eight weeks while he worked on his show, but he ended up proposing. Sloan was pregnant with his twins when their wedding aired on 'Scott Baio Is 46...and Pregnant.'

The 'Happy Days' star and his fiancee, however, lost one of their children at the age of 12 weeks. Bailey, the couple's daughter, was born five weeks before her due date in 2007, and she was a guest of honor at their wedding.

Baio's family faced a health crisis in 2015, with him revealing in a Facebook post that his wife had been diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumor and declaring, "My wife is my rock."

Sloan revealed on X a few years later that she not only had two meningioma tumors, but she was also diagnosed with Microvascular Brain Disease in October 2017, with her husband retweeting the post and writing: "Unfortunately, this is true. Renee is forever my rock, my life & my soulmate! Toughest person I know."

Sloan is still surviving many conditions and building a happy home with her husband in September 2023. Baio, on the other hand, was born on September 22, 1960, and will be 62 years old next week.
