'She doesn't like him very much': Priscilla Presley's son denies she helped save Tom Cruise's career
Navarone Garibaldi Garcia also claims Priscilla Presley left Scientology in 2012 or 2013, following a confrontation with David Miscavige

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A rumor that Priscilla Presley helped save Tom Cruise's film career in 2006 has now been dispelled by her son.
Navarone Garibaldi Garcia mocked the allegations while discussing his mother's covert exit from Scientology and other topics in a recent interview with Aaron Smith-Levin.

Smith-Levin mentioned that nearly three decades ago, Sumner M Redstone, the chairman of Viacom at the time, announced that Paramount Pictures was ending its 14-year association with the actor's production company.
Did Priscilla work behind the scenes for Tom Cruise?

He mentioned that he had never heard Priscilla had worked behind the scenes to get Cruise back in the good graces of Hollywood, as reported by Radar Online.
Redstone had told The Wall Street Journal in a statement as they parted ways, "As much as we like him personally, we thought it was wrong to renew his deal. His recent conduct has not been acceptable to Paramount."
The host gave an explanation of how Redstone and Paramount were severing ties with Cruise because of his "antics." Representatives for Cruise denied the firing at the time, saying he had already secured $100 million in funding to produce films independently.
According to Smith-Levin, there is a rumor circulating that Priscilla saved Cruise's career, and it has since flourished.

Though he denied the rumors, Navarone said, "I don't think my mom likes Tom Cruise very much."
The alleged salvage effort was purportedly for church leader David Miscavige, Smith-Levin clarified, but Navarone remarked, "I don't think she likes Dave either." Priscilla has not refuted or acknowledged the claims.
In the same interview, Navarone revealed that his mother left Scientology in 2012 or 2013, following a confrontation with Miscavige in Florida involving her daughter and his late half-sister, Lisa Marie.
The conversation was said to have taken place following Lisa Marie's purported attempt to confront the religious leader regarding accusations pertaining to his own father.
The organization fired back in January, noting, "That's a bald-faced lie by those seeking to exploit this tragic event. It never happened β PERIOD."
Priscilla's representative refutes Scientology rumor
Priscilla's representative refuted the rumor that her son was shocked when she left Scientology in 2017.
The rep denied she left Scientology in 2017, which shocked her son. He theorized, "I think she might be a little bit afraid [of the church's reaction], She was treated as a very high-profile member."
Navarone said Scientology had never classified him as a suppressive individual. When Smith-Levin inquired about Navarone's current relationship with Priscilla, he revealed his love for her and said they are "really, really, really close."
Navarone added that she did not attempt to dissuade him from giving the interview.
