Steve Schirripa’s daughter Ciara marries long-term boyfriend, leaving 'Blue Bloods' star ‘very emotional’

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Actor Steve Schirripa's daughter Ciara married her boyfriend Zach Binder on Sunday, October 8, in New York City. Schirripa is known for playing Detective Anthony Abetemarco in ‘Blue Bloods’ and Bobby Baccalieri in ‘The Sopranos’.

The 66-year-old is also reportedly a producer as well as an author who has written books like ‘Big Daddy's Rules: Raising Daughters Is Tougher Than I Look’, ‘The Goomba Diet: Living Large and Loving It’, and ‘A goomba's guide to life’.

Steve Schirripa is a family man

But for Steve, his family is also very important. He shares two daughters with his wife Laura Schirripa — Bria and Ciara — and believes parenting does not always need to be strict.

In 2013, the ‘Nicky Deuce’ star told USA Today, “Kids have to rebel. It's their nature. It's their job. Your job (as a parent) is to give them something to rebel against. It's not to be their friend.”

Ciara said “I do” to her long-term boyfriend Zach Binder at the Tribeca Grill in New York City, leaving Steve “very emotional.”

The host of two Investigation Discovery series told People, “We all planned the wedding together. Zach has been with Ciara for seven years — they're college sweethearts — and so he's part of the family already.”

“It was just one big party, and it was very emotional, of course, [because] it's my youngest daughter. Now we're real empty-nesters, me and my wife Laura,” he shared.

Steve also added, “Zach is … I'm very, very proud to have him as [a son-in-law]. He's going to take care of my daughter. I'm not going to be here forever, and he's a really good boy.”
